The In Home Dog Training Difference

In home dog training works; that’s a fact. The reason is simple, your dogs problems start where you live. Your dog doesn’t chew your neighbor’s furniture or dig in your neighbor’s yard. The distractions your dog goes after are in your neighborhood, at the dog park and basically where ever you are. That’s why Southland Dog Training comes to you. When you take a dog out of his normal environment and away from distractions he may learn quickly but as soon as he is back where normal distractions effect him he begins to have problems. By working your dog in her home environment you know your dog will always be trained.

Be the Pack Leader and Take Control

Your dog needs leadership. Your leadership! That’s right, your dog naturally looks to see who’s in charge and if he doesn’t see you as a leader he assumes that role himself. Over 90% of the dogs that Southland Dog Training works with have dominance related issues. Some display aggression as a form of dominance. These dogs will challenge their owners by growling, snapping or biting. Others are passively dominant. They usually push, drag, pull, bark, run away or continue a bad behavior even though their owner tries to convince them to stop. They ignore every command as though they are deaf. The only way to change things is to learn how to be a good leader. Southland Dog Training will show you how to take control of your dog and your situation and be the leader your dog needs you to be.

Punishment vs. Correction

Did you know that there’s a difference? When you punish all you are doing is venting your negative emotions on a bad situation. On the other hand, correcting is a thought out process that lends itself to control. You look at the behavior objectively and determine what action should be taken before hand in order to change the negative behavior into a positive one. This is done without treats or clickers but with a lot of love and praise.

If you’re ready to experience the Southland Dog Training difference then all you have to do is CALL 866-418-7246 TODAY! Vince or Cyndi will answer any other questions you have and set up your in home evaluation.
