Southland Dog Training is looking to fill Three Professional Dog Trainers Positions for In-Home Dog Training in Orlando and Tampa Bay, Florida and the Surrounding Areas

Job requirements:

• The ability to learn and apply Southland Dog Trainings logically ordered methodology of dog training in an in home dog training environment.

• The ability to learn Southland Dog Training simple Housebreaking method

• To teach both dogs and people the basic advanced Obedience

• To teach our clients techniques to solve problem behaviors such as: dog or people aggression, chewing, digging, jumping, playbiting, growling, barking, whining, running away, door and car manners and more.

• The ability to teach a client the skills you just used in working with their dog

• The ability to work without direct supervision

• The ability manage a schedule and create a driving route that allows you to maximize your time and appointments

• Must exhibit excellent time management skills

• Must exhibit excellent communication skills

• The trainer that we are looking for must love working with people as much as they love working with dogs

Experience: Must have certification in writing to presented at the time of the interview: WE DO NOT TRAIN TRAINERS PERIOD!

• National K9- Master Trainers Course Certification

• Military Working Dog Program Certified

• Police K-9 Certified

We require proof of certification as well as references. We will not accept proof that is not in writing and we need to see all certification that applies.

Skills: In home dog training experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Must have experience in house breaking, behavior problems (such as chewing, digging, aggressive or fear biting behavior, jumping etc), basic & advanced obedience as well as service and therapy dog training. Must also have knowledge in scent work.

Communication skills are required as you will be teaching/training dog owners how to get the best out of their dogs.

• Reliable and economical transportation is a must.

• Southland Dog Training offers great pay, starting at $25 an hour, plus a $4.00 per appointment gas allowance and a $1.00 raise after the first year.

• Raises thereafter are commensurate with job performance
