What is puppy kindergarten?
Puppy Kindergarten is an alternate way of looking at your dog's training. They will constantly test to see where they fit in and with an abundance of energy, and a short attention span, this can be a trying time. Even the cutest and sweetest puppy will test to see who the boss is. The biggest problem is that if you try to deal with this like you would a full grown dog, the negative effects would totally disrupt any chance of your pup's interest in training. Puppy kindergarten might be the solution for you.
Puppies are highly social canines and spend most of their awake hours interacting with either their mother or the rest of their litter. It's important that pups are socialized with humans, especially between the ages of 8 and 12, so as to encourage healthy interaction and develop the necessary social skills around people. Ideally, puppies should be exposed to a wide variety of people (and other dogs) as much as possible during this period. Pups that do not receive an adequate amount of socialization during this important period might display fearful behavior around humans or other dogs when they are full grown.
