What is puppy kindergarten?

Puppy Kindergarten is just a different way of looking at your pup's training. Not only do they have a ton of energy, but their attention span is very short. Outside of that, they are constantly testing to see where they fit in. Even the sweetest pups test their handlers to see who the leader of the pack is. The issue is that if you try to deal with this like you would a full grown dog, you could easily turn your pup off completely to training. This is why you need puppy kindergarten.

Puppies are highly social canines and spend most of their awake hours interacting with either their mother or the rest of their litter. It's important that pups are socialized with humans, especially between the ages of 8 and 12, so as to encourage healthy interaction and develop the necessary social skills around people. Ideally, puppies should be exposed to a wide variety of people (and other dogs) as possible during this period. Pups that do not receive an adequate amount of socialization during this important period might display fearful behavior around humans or other dogs when they are full grown.
